The TER reports an overall score on critical thinking skill (Total score) and 5 scale scores (Analysis, Inference, Evaluation, Inductive Reasoning and Deductive Reasoning) are provided for each test taker (TER Scale descriptions). The TER is designed for test takers in secondary school or the first two years of post secondary education, and for adults of all ages in the general population. The TER is a 35 item multiple choice test that is administered in 50 minutes. The Flesch-Kincaid Readability Level is 6th Grade. No specialized content knowledge is required.
