Programs
in Mathematics, Statistics, the Physical and biological sciences,
engineering, computer science, and architecture, as well as business
schools will find the Quant Q particularly useful.
Internal consistency ratings: Depending on circumstances
of testing: (KR-20) for the Quant Q range from 0.78 to 0.86.
Concurrent Validity: Preliminary research indicates that the
Quant Q correlates highly with both the California Reasoning Appraisal
(r = 0.844) and the California Critical Thinking Skills Test (r
= 0.731).

Continuing Research: In our ongoing effort to collect criterion-validation
data, additional correlates, and norm data Insight Assessment is offering
deeply discounted, and in some cases, free use of the Quant-Q
in exchange for specific kinds of data gathered by competent and qualified
assessment specialists and researchers in well-designed studies.
Standardization
data for Norms
Institutions and individuals that will administer the Quant-Q
to at least 100 individuals within the appropriate target population
are eligible for substantial discounts in return for providing their
data to Insight Assessment for purposes of developing Quant-Q norm
data. Proposals should include provision for providing relevant demographic
information as described below.
Correlation
data between the Quant-Q and other recognized tests
Institutions and individuals that will administer the Quant-Q
as well as another recognized assessment instrument offered by a publisher
other than Insight Assessment are eligible for substantial discounts
in return for providing their data to Insight Assessment for purposes
of correlational research. Groups that provide large samples (over
250) as well as correlational data are eligible for larger discounts.
Proposals should include provision for providing relevant demographic
information as described below.
Free
use of Quant-Q with other Insight Assessment assessment tools
Insight Assessment is accepting proposals for correlational research
involving the Quant-Q and one or more other assessment tool
publish by Insight Assessment. In some cases Insight Assessment would
be prepared to make the Quant-Q available for use free of charge.
Demographic
Information
Insight Assessment will consider proposals that exhibit sound research
and data gathering methodology. Demographic information should include,
at a minimum, data concerning the gender, age/grade-level, and ethnicity
of participants. A socioeconomic categorization by individual is requested
when available. At a minimum, Insight Assessment requires a general
socioeconomic description of the population of individuals tested.
