Purchasing Qualifications
and Security Restrictions
Why:
For reasons of test security and to protect the integrity of
the performance funding, personnel evaluation, outcomes assessment,
program evaluation, and research projects relying on Insight Assessment
testing instruments, there are qualifications on the purchase and
restrictions on the use of the testing tools published by Insight
Assessment (California Academic Press LLC). In keeping with industry
standards and practices, all the testing products offered for sale,
or for resale, by Insight Assessment have been classified into one
of three levels: Level A, Level B, and Level C. Increasingly
restrictive conditions and qualifications apply to persons or agencies
seeking to purchase or to use tools that are classified at each
of the three levels.

and C classifications and their restrictions and use conditions

User's
and purchaser's please note: Use, administration, and interpretation
of the assessment tools published by Insight Assessment (The California
Academic Press LLC) is the sole responsibility of the purchaser
and user. The California Academic Press LLC strongly recommends
that persons using the assessment instruments published by the Insight
Assessment (The California Academic Press LLC) or other educational
testing tools should observe ethical, academic, and professional
standards in the use, administration, scoring, and interpretation
of those instruments. Many professional associations publish guidelines
regarding ethical practices in educational testing. One might consult
"Principles of Good Practice for Assessing Student Learning,"
issued in December 1992 under the auspices of the American Association
of Higher Education, One Dupont Circle, Suite 360, Washington DC,
20036; "Ethical Standards of the American Educational Research
Association," issued in October 1992, AERA, 1230 17th Street,
NW, Washington DC 20036; and "Standards for Educational and
Psychological Testing," issued in 1985 by the American Psychological
Association Inc., also at 1200 17th Street, NW, Washington DC, 20036..

to these materials would be permitted. We sell only to end users

provided copyright restrictions and non-resale provisions associated
therewith are followed.
