The Accreditation Council for Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE) includes a standard guideline for accreditation Schools of Pharmacy Education to develop strength in their students' critical thinking through effective teaching and learning strategies, and to demonstrate this achievement through outcomes assessment (12.1, 12.2, 13.1) Dr. Charles Phillips and Colleagues at Drake University offer a roadmap to accomplishing these goals. in their article "The California Critical Thinking Instruments for Benchmarking, Program Assessment, and Directing Curricular Change." American Journal of Pharmaceutical Education 2004; 68 (4) Article 101.
