Schools of Social Work and Public Health

Deans of Social Work and Public Health programs want to accept candidates who have outstanding potential to learn and to achieve to the maximum their talent permits.  Insight Assessment offers a comprehensive selection of critical test instruments that are calibrated to measure critical thinking thinking skills and dispositions of  specific test takers.

Multiple schools of Social Work and Public Health rely on  our companion measures to identify applicants who have the strongest critical thinking skills and the desire to apply those skills:

  • The California Critical Thinking Skills Test (CCTST) is being used worldwide to provide valid, objective and reliable measures of the core reasoning and critical thinking skill of undergraduate and graduate students. The CCTST has been proven to predict strength in critical thinking in authentic problem situations.
  • The California Critical Thinking Disposition Inventory (CCTDI) measures test takers' motivation to apply critical thinking skills in decision making and problem solving. The CCTDI is calibrated for use with the general adult population including workers and working professionals at all levels, and for students in grades 10 and above.

The data gathered with these tools are valuable for admissions purposes, educational research, accreditation, learning outcomes assessment and program evaluation.   Faculty are able to document the progress of undergraduates and graduate students on professional accreditation core competency assessment requirements for critical thinking.

Educational strength and excellence starts with enrolling the best students and educating them to become the best professionals and job candidates possible.  Insight Assessment tests of critical thinking skills use case-based scenarios to provide objective, valid and reliable standardized measures of these essential problem solving and decision making skills. Insight Assessment testing tools are cost-effective and can be normed to comparable undergraduate or graduate programs.  Assessment solutions are available through on-line testing or paper-and-pencil testing.  If you would like to discuss your testing needs or to learn more about our products, please use the Contact Us Form below.
