The HSRT is designed for working professionals and for undergraduate and graduate professional school students in Pharmacy, Medicine, Nursing, Dentistry, Social Work, Physical Therapy, Medical Technology, Occupational Therapy, and other fields in the health sciences. Norms are available by professional field and educational level.

The CCTST is designed for working professionals and for undergraduate and graduate students in all academic disciplines and professional practice fields. The CCTST is the leading member in the California Critical Thinking Family of skills tests.

The California Critical Thinking Disposition Inventory is the premier tool for surveying the dispositional aspects of critical thinking. It measures the "willing" dimension in the expression "willing and able" to think critically. The CCTDI is designed for use with the general adult population undergraduates, technical and professional school students, and graduate students.

The HSRT tool sets critical thinking questions in health sciences and clinical practice contexts, and presumes no specialized technical knowledge. In addition to an overall critical thinking skills score, the HSRT scales report skills scores on analysis, inference, evaluation, induction and deduction.

The CCTST tool sets critical thinking questions in everyday context which are familiar to adults, undergraduates and graduate students. It presumes no specialized disciplinary knowledge. In addition to an overall critical thinking skills score, the CCTST scales report skills scores on analysis, inference, evaluation, induction and deduction.

The CCTDI scales measure truthseeking, open-mindedness, analyticity, systematicity, critical thinking self-confidence, inquisitiveness and maturity of judgment. High scores on the CCTDI indicate a strong positive disposition toward engaging problems and decisions using one's critical thinking skills. Low scores indicate an aversion toward using thinking to solve problems or make decisions.
