Insight Assessment critical thinking skills tests target measure the core cognitive skills which are called upon as we form reflective, purposeful judgments about what to believe or what to do.
Insight Assessment critical thinking attributes (dispositions) tests focus on an array of habits of mind and values that influence a person's capacity to learn and to effectively apply critical thinking skills. Two Insight Assessment instruments, the Legal Studies Reasoning Profile (LSRP) and the Military and Defense Critical Thinking Disposition Inventory (MCDTI) measure both skills and dispositions.
Insight Assessment Eagle products are precisely calibrated to give employers the data they need to create teams of great minds—throughout their organizational structure. Eagle flight levels spiral through increasingly complex tactical decisions—and impact on the bottom line.
The Insight Assessment research team has developed measures which focus on a variety of characterological attributes of interest to our clients and other scholars. The Holistic Critical Thinking Scoring Rubric and the Professional Judgment Rating Form were developed by our research team to make holistic assessments of critical thinking in educational and workplace settings. Both are used for teaching critical thinking as well, because they are easy to use as the basis for mentoring and reflective discussions about reflective and fair-minded problem solving and decision making.
Other measures (including the Dutifulness Scale, General Perceptions of Prejudice Scale and Openness to Diversity Scale) have been developed to focus on a variety of characterological attributes of interest to our clients and other scholars. Please contact Insight Assessment for further information about these measures, or to discuss the possibility of custom designing a measure which addresses your organization's needs.
The senior research associates of Insight Assessment have engaged in the empirical and conceptual analysis of reasoning for decades. They work at the level of theory and application and have demonstrated through their work that critical thinking can be defined, learned, taught, and accurately measured. Their research focuses on the vital linkage between critical thinking and human problem solving and decision making in contexts of risk and uncertainty.
