Tolerance Scale

The Tolerance Scale broadly surveys the tendency to perform professionally within a setting where habits of mind regarding discrimination in regard to demographic diversity could be an issue. Higher scores on this scale indicate respect for people independent of such factors as age, gender, and sexual orientation. Low scores indicate that tolerance was not manifested. Tolerance is valuable in all settings, but most importantly when functions require interaction with clients, customers, suppliers, colleagues or coworkers from broadly diverse demographic backgrounds.
